Tatkal passport renewal eligibility in US

Indian Citizens residing in US are also eligible for renewal of Indian passport under tatkal scheme provided they satisfy the below criteria. Tatkal passport scheme otherwise known as emergency passport scheme provides quicker renewal of Indian passports when compared with the normal scheme for passport renewal

An applicant is eligible for tatkal passport renewal provided they are not applying based on the below criteria

• Lost / Damaged beyond recognition / Stolen Passport
• Renewal of Short Validity Passport
• Major Change in Name
• Change in Sex
• Change of Appearance
• Change/ Correction of Date of Birth
• Change/ Correction of Place of birth
• Change in Signature
• Change of Father/ Mother name
