Normal vs tatkal passport fees/charges

There is a generally a difference of 2500 rupees between Normal and Tatkal passport charges and this also differs from based on the age of the applicant as well as on the page limit for passport (If you apply for 36 page limit passport the charge is different)

The above charges are only for 36 pages whereas if you are applying for a passport with 60 pages then Rs.500 will be charged in both Normal and Tatkal categories. And Rs.500 will be charged extra if your applying for a reissue of your passport when it has been lost or damaged but your passport has not expired
